Play a round of golf, enjoy a set or two of tennis, catch some rays then cool off in our sparkling pool or enjoy an invigorating work out at the fitness center! Go fishing, jog, walk or bike along winding paved nature trails. No matter what your interest, you can probably do it right here at The Meadows Country Club. And if all the recreational activities don't exhaust you, there is a variety of Club activities and organizations! The Meadows Country Club has something for everyone!

For the golfer, you are only a short drive away from a great -round of golf! Winding its way among sparkling lakes and woodlands are three 18 hole championship golf courses - 54 holes of challenge! While water and sand come frequently into play, some say the setting itself is the greatest distraction of all and certainly the most pleasant. Imagine having access to three top courses! A Full Membership provides you all this and more, A new challenge for every player at every level. Director of Golf and PGA Professional Mike McClellan oversees the golf operation and facilities, including golf clinics, private lessons, and a golf shop featuring the finest in golf merchandise.

The golf practice facility consists of a multiple target range, putting and chipping greens and private bunkers. Other Golf Shop services include handicap computation, comfortable locker rooms with saunas and shower facilities, golf club storage and cleaning, as well as an impressive array of both men's and ladies' golf fashions and merchandise!

A very active golf schedule includes Men's, Ladies' & Couples Golf Associations, and special monthly events. There is even a Singles Group that tees it up on Thursdays- At The Meadows Country Club, you will never be at a loss for a playing partner!

The Golf Shop is open seven days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to meet your golfing needs.

The Meadows Country Club is well known for it's beautiful tennis facility. Here you will find some of the most enjoyable tennis anywhere in an-extraordinary setting. Rather than a "parking lot" full of courts, 16 lighted Har-Tru courts are clustered so that trees, flowers and foliage limit the player's view to two courts creating a uniquely pleasant court side experience. Tennis Magazine has rated The Meadows Tennis Club as one of the top 20 facilities in the nation! The Meadows Country Club was the proud host of the 2002 Sarasota Open and will host the 2003 Sarasota Clay Court Championship, a WTA event. Under the direction of our U.S.P.T.A. Professional and Director of Tennis, Bob Rodgers, we are proud to have a very active tennis program with three prime time slots maximizing court utilization.

Our "players needing partners " assistance program helps new Members and singles meet people and get into the swing of things around our tennis deck, and with the latest in racquets, equipment, and fashions, our Tennis Shop will make you an ace on the courts! Also available are locker rooms with saunas and showers, practice wall, ball machine rental, and professional racquet stringing by certified technicians.
Each year the tennis staff plans tournaments and parties, leagues, and round robins. Whether playing with your friends or competing in league play, you will enjoy the ambiance of our active Tennis Club where you can play day or night. The Tennis Center is open 7:45 a-m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Conveniently located at the Tennis Center is the friendly, pub-like Centre Court Lounge and deck featuring great sandwiches, salads and full bar service. So after an exciting game, you have a pleasant and relaxing place to relive The Meadows Country Club experience with your friends and fellow Members'

Tennis Equity Membership includes

Unlimited tennis, all Social activities, use of all Dining facilities, the Swimming Pool, Locker rooms. Charging privileges. Guest privileges, 3 day Advance court reservation and Golf at the approved rate with a 3 day Advance tee time privilege on all golf courses all year long.

Membership Notes

All categories of membership are available as Single or Family. A Family Membership entitles the Member, the Member's spouse, and unmarried children living at home until the age of 2} (or the age of 25 if unmarried, living at home, and a full-time student) to use the Club facilities as provided by the privileges of that category. Please note that if a married couple has a Single Membership, the non-member may not use the Club facilities or participate in Club functions unless accompanied by the Member.

All Equity memberships are subject to a $600 Annual Food & Beverage Spending Requirement for Family households and $400 Annually for unmarried Single households.

Non-Equity Intermediate Membership

Whenever the Club shall have Full or Tennis Memberships available, the Club may issue Intermediate Memberships. Intermediate Memberships are available to persons under 45 years of age. Upon the 45th birthday. She Intermediate' Member must upgrade to an Equity Membership or restful from the Club. In the event that Equity Memberships and Intermediate Memberships reach 900 Full or 650 Tennis/Social Memberships, Intermediate Memberships are cancelable upon thirty days notice to the Member; and shall be canceled on a las! issued, first canceled basis as Equity Memberships are issued.

Full Intermediate Memberships and Tennis Intermediate Memberships:

The Intermediate Membership is available to anyone under 45 years of age. In the case of a family membership, the older spouse will be the age of record. The Equity fee is due and payable upon joining the Club as an Equity Member at the amount then in effect. The Monthly Dues and Annual Food & Beverage Spending Requirement are:

Under 35 years of age ...   60% of the published Full or Tennis Equity Dues
35-39 years of age...           70%
40-44 years of age ...           80%
45 years of age...                100%

Each year prior to age 45, S500.00 of the annual dues paid by the Intermediate Member will be set aside for the purchase of the Equity Certificate. These funds can only be applied toward the purchase of an Equity Certificate and are not refundable should the Intermediate Member resign prior to purchasing an Equity Certificate. Once the amount set aside equals me value of the current Equity Certificate, the Intermediate Member must become an Equity Member, Should a Member resign from the Club after completing the Equity purchase and place the certificate with the Club for redemption, the Club paid portion of the Equity Certificate becomes redeemable according to the following vesting schedule:

During the first year after purchase ...                                            20%
During the second year after the purchase .,,                               40%
During the third year after the purchase ...                                     60%
During the fourth year after the purchase ,,.                                   80%
during and subsequent to the fifth year after the purchase ...   100%

The schedule is determined by She date of resignation, not the date of redemption.

Each year prior to age 45, the Intermediate Member will be responsible for an annual payment of any Initiation Fee in effect at the time of joining. The same percentage of payment schedule applied towards the Monthly Dues and Annual Food & Beverage Spending Requirement (shown above) will apply. Any Capital Improvement Fees in effect will be the responsibility of each Intermediate Member upon reaching age 45 and upon the completion of the purchase of the Equity Certificate.

Full Intermediate Members and Tennis Intermediate Members will be governed by the Club Bylaws and Rules & Regulations and will be responsible for all of the fees that Equity Members pay.

Full Intermediate Members will have all privileges as a Full Equity Member with the exception of voting and annual and special meeting participation. They will have a six day advance sign-up for golf and three days for tennis,

Tennis Intermediate Members will have all the privileges of a Tennis Equity Member with the exception of voting and annual and special meeting participation. They will have three day advance sign-up for golf and tennis.

Summer Memberships

A Summer Golf, Tennis, or Dining Membership offers the opportunity to experience the amenities of The Meadows Country Club featuring three championship golf courses, 16 Har-tni tennis courts and a variety of dining options. The Summer Membership program runs from May 1 through October 31. Summer Membership opportunities are limited; Summer Members will be governed by the Club's Bylaws and Rules & Regulations. Certain restrictions apply.

Trial Memberships

A Trial Membership is available for one month during the year. Applicants must activate within twelve (12) mouths of the purchase of real property in Sarasota or Manatee counties. A copy of me closing statement will validate time frame.

new HOMEOWNER TRIAL membership

A Trial Membership is available for one (1) month during the year. Applicants must activate within twelve (12) months of their purchase of real property in Sarasota or Manatee counties- A copy of the closing statement will validate the time frame-

A.    Refundable Security Deposit: $500.00 (No Tax)
B.    Dues & Privileges:

1.    There are no Dues for a Trial Membership.

2.    Trial Members may make 2 day advance golf tee times and tennis court reservations. The Cart Fee is $17.00 for Trial Members and their guests. There are no tennis court fees for Trial Members.

3.     Trial Members have guest privileges by paying the applicable guest fees.

4.     A Membership card will be issued and must be presented in all areas of the club for dining, golf, and tennis services. For merchandise purchases in the pro shops, a MasterCard or Visa must be used.

5.     Statement of club charges will be sent out at the end of the trial membership and are due within thirty (30) days. If payment is not received, the charges will be deducted from the security deposit.
